Didn't get as far as I would have liked, had to run to the hardware store for another holesaw and the DD gave it up so had it towed back and lost energy,we'll have to see how it goes today.

Well, I had fun yesterday! 'We' fitted up the front and back bumpers as well as the main loop for the roll bar (to make sure it would clear my big head).

The work Bob does is awesome.

Thanks Tad and Joe for your help. Fitting/cutting/tacking/wrenching. Turned out to be a nice day overall (the heat wasn't too bad).

It was cool to watch and learn the thought process that goes on when mounting and fitting. I wish I had more of those type skills.

Okay the main hoop ft right in,and ties right over the rock slides and frame so will be completely ties in after it's done.since last night the down arms are mounted and the cage is secure and fit between all body crease's. the cage is getting a custom fit net to keep any thing from the back coming forward the plates are made to mount 35's to the down hoops of the cage . afew more details and it's paint time.

I like the way you wrapped the rear bumper around the corners for protection like the originals. Good idea. The angle you put in the front bumper is perfect as well. I'm not a fan of straight bumpers on the front...

Very nice!

Totally agree. A straight front bumper leaves way too much gap at the front corners.

Just got off the phone with Bob. The original plan was to mount the second spare on the passenger side but he said it pretty much eliminates any view out the side and puts the tires about a foot apart, restricting the view out the back as well so the plan now is just the one tire. I had 'test fit' it on the passenger side a few months back and it blocked my view some but I didn't account for the space the roll bar would take up. I had it much closer to the seat and tucked into the side of the truck.

Mounted where it is, it's a perfect spot for the spare. I can't put it on top or mount it to the rear and still get the truck in my garage. It won't fit where the spare normally goes. That means it has to go in the cab. I had it laying on the floor and that just took up a lot of room. Sure, if I get a flat it will be a little bit of a pain to get to but compared to working around it laying down I think it is a good trade off. Of course, I am commited to just me and a passenger from now on.

Looks Great!

Are we going to do something this Saturday?
I know we talked about a quick over nighter down to Gardner Canyon.
Em is proctering a CISSP exam on Sat and I am in class from 8-4, but we could catch up at the canyon after we were done most likely.

We have friends in town staying with us. (From Switzerland). I am not sure when I can get up to pick the truck up but, most likely, it won't include a camping trip for me. :(

I might shoot up this or next wednesday. Can you get out wheel'n for the day?

All righty! Picked up the truck today. It is awesome. The bumpers and roll bar turned out great!

The ride home was 'interesting'. I put on the SOA/SF 2 1/2 years ago on stock springs with 200K plus miles on them. On the way to/from Ouray this year the truck 'danced' around above certain speeds when I would hit offending bumps. The extra weight on the front back make the ride even more 'exciting'. I was very happy to find a trucker that must have been speed limited to 60mph. I tucked in behind him and let it ride.

So I 'test mounted' the winch when I got home. Next step is to order some spings and get a front sway bar back on the truck.

A big thanks to RSTEP and his family for their hard work and patience. The truck looks great. I just need to go out and get some AZ pin stripes on it now....
