Putting this back up there. 350 with the engine, has an Offenhauser Dual Plane intake and 4300 4 barrel on it. Likely could use waterpump, I couldnt get the bolts all the way out. No radiator or alt, needs some wiring fixed (I'd suggest a new engine bay harness but this one is fixable).
I will sell for 200 either without the engine, or WITH the engine but not the intake and carb. Your choice. I have the original 2bb intake but it's weathered.
needs rear headliner and front headliner is sagged (cardboard). Black dash in decent shape with all the stock stuff. This is a project not a treasure trove.
no QT, Th400 installed but scabbed some parts and is incomplete..itddid move the jeep 3 years ago. Needs floorpans, a new tailgate (or weld the one on there, cracked in middle and gutted), and drivers door (I have doors, will include one) also needs windshield. Project, needs completion. (including drivers floorpan). Great base for a trail rig. Clean CO title and doorjamb stickers still on it for out of state registration. No shipping, come and get it will help load, rolls and steers good. Has that '79 lift, no sag. Dirty underneath but no rot. No AC on motor but still has underdash and black interior with all the goodies. no parting, either it sells or sits.

VERY VERY easy to find location 3hrs from ABQ, 7 from Denver, right behind the Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio, Colorado.
other items here:
Shortbed aluminum J10 cap, nice, $100 pick up only.
78 J10 no title. Just the bed (gutted of tank and lights and tailgate) cab (gutted of everything besides dash core) frame is solid. I have a front clip for it and springs front and rear, but will have to install axles to move onto a trailer..I have the rear end but the r/p is trashed, and can cobble an older 60s era D44 front under it enough to get it on a trailer. $200..and the front has new superwinch hubs and is 4.10. rear is 3.54 but needs overhaul. no drivetrain whatsoever. bed has seam rot but in good shape otherwise, cab is solid but floor pans rusted out (and I trimmed the rotted part long ago). Will throw in doors if needed, and likely whatever else is laying around.
I also have set of gladiator 5 lug rims, most with rollers, some sets of white wagon wheel 6 lugs with rollers, and various FSJ crap. Will happily cram a trailer full for cash in hand (not greedy, just want it gone. Not shipping a dang thing, pick up only. Make the trip and you'll leave happy).

If you were closer I'd consider taking that pickup off yer hands if it was a longbed J10. :( Got any pics? Why no title? RiverRat would kill me, though. :hide: The price is right, maybe (got pics?) and I have a donor Wag. Hmm...

It's a shortbed. Title is..someone's garage art I think ;) About all it's good for is a trail buggy base.

the price reflects my remote location :) Actually it's really easy to get here, because there's no other way through south west CO than right by my house :)
wish I still lived in Arizona, I'd take that off your hands

me too!!!
This will make a great bargain trail beater for someone! The body is beat enough not to worry about, but not so bad small children will point and laugh (at the jeep at least). Solid as a rock frame, just needs finishing (and a windshield). "Finishing" being the expensive or not grey area of course..couple seats, trans and transfercase and a weekend's work of little stuff will net a cool beater for a little work and money.
I also forgot to point out it has dual exhaust, which may not be legal in some areas (Colorado as well, although I've NEVER had a cop say anything about it on my other 79 Chero with obvious and loud duals).

I could be interested in your 79 Cherokee. If I got it I would flat tow it home. Are the axles in good shape to flat tow it? You have a few different pictures of the front end in your post. How's it look right now? Would it be pretty easy to hook up a tow bar?

There is only a core of a Th400 in it, and no driveshafts (but I will throw in tons of parts). You could flat tow. There is no front bumper on it, so the frame is exposed..I have NO idea on tow bars. It has full steering intact and the column locks. A tow bar with a jeep this size loaded down? Scary idea, but if you want to try it.. $350 with intake or $200 without, your choice, bring some extra dough for more parts if you want em, got a ton of stuff laying around. The front has the boobie grille on it at the moment I think, it's included (its been painted and the metal modified a little). The interior is empty so lots of room for stuff. I would seriously reccomend a trailer though..

I've flat towed these before without a problem-what makes you think it's a bad idea? The wide track is about one inch wider than my trailer.

Depends on what your tow rig is. I would recommend something larger, longer wheel base and heavier than the FSJ as well as a BEEFY tow bar. HF tow bar is a bad idea for the FSJ.

Can you tell me WHY you think those things are important, other than not having a chinsy tow bar?

Personal experience. The heavier the tow rig and the longer the wheelbase, the less likely the tail will be to wag the dog. Nothing like going down a windy road and having the rig you're towing decide that it wants to lead...Not very fun.

Well, this fella has towed a few other FSJs with a Waggy, a few different Waggys and Jtrucks. I would rather tow with a long wheel base Jtruck than anything. I go slow with the Waggy. Ryan has seen it. Once I drive away with a FSJ in tow, it is my concern to get it home. Crap, I flat towed a shortbed J10 behind a fox body Mustang 650 miles. OK
Now, I have seen and towed said Jeep for sale. I have used UHaul tow bars to pull both bumper styles on FSJs too. Just take time to check the bolts for all the mounting hardware. I think it would make the trip flat towed. Be ready to top off the axles with some lube. Someone come get it before the NdNs shoot it full of arrows.

Saw the results myself-scary! Don't get your tow bar from Harbor Freight!

I am out of the running. I would love to buy it, but have had no luck finding someone willing to tow it to Denver. If someone here is willing to tow it up, pm me with a rate..
