For those of you what have installed aftermarket gauges...where did you mount them? Summit has some small 1 1/2 guages that I think I could fab a plate for and put in place of the ash tray. I think I could only fit 2 there though. I really wanted to have oil, temp, and volts.
Any ideas, pics, etc appreciated.

You could do what RamJet did

Otherwise, I'd build a cetner console and mount them there. I've heard of others mounting them on top of the dash and yet others mounting them below the existing gauges on the surface.
I still use my stock gauges as they are all still accurate. I have a tachometer and a vacuum gauge that are hose clamped together onto the steering column in such a way that when it is in drive they rotate into clear view.

Yep, saw RamJets post on the other board this afternoon.
Already have a dash panel on order.

You can fit two 2 1/16" guages side by side in place of the ashtray. Its tight but do-able. See the tranny temp guage pic on the post above.
Ben
You can clink on the link in my sig to see them...
The tach went in place if the vacuum switch when I swapped in the np208. The oil pressure went in a stock AutoMeter mount right next to them under the A/C unit. I'll be putting a trans temp gauge in the other hole.
