I m working on a 77 cherokee super chief and I was needing help to find the right gearing for the front and rear differentials. I want to run either 39 in or 40 in.

Should i keep the dana 44 in the front or find a dana 60s, the rear diff. i have to find a centered either dana 44 or 60 cause I m putting in atlas t/c. I found a site for axles dyntrac they are suppose to make heavy duty dana 60s. Does any one about axles?

Any help would be appreciated

Do it right.... find 60's or 14FF for the rear and Dana 60 up front or you will bend your 44's like I did.

Then get you some 4.89 gears and be happy about your setup... I ran 4.89's with 38's and did fine at 70 mph.

If you go to a Centered rear axle and D60 you might have gas tank problems. I had to pull my Tank or it would hit

I forgot about the tank, Pete.... Reason is... I already moved mine!! LOL

OX will run you BANK but is the way to go.... I have a Detroit in my 14FF and saving for the OX for the 60 up front.... it will be a while.

you can fab in a tank if you want.... just depends on what you want... I have a 33 gallon tank from a Bronco but it hangs a bit low for most... but not me.
