im about to do a rustys 4inch lift with rear add a leafs sumbody please define a shackle flip and tell me if i can do it and how much lift it will add :confused:

Yeah, because it probably isn't the wag in you sig because it already says you have a 4" lift and 35's.

Shackle flip.. or inversion is when you invert the rear shackle to gain lift and increased articulation... normally gains around 6-7" of lift. That is not the only thing you have to do to do it correctly though....

A shackle reversal is when take the front shackles and relocate them to the rear of the front springs....

so ur tellin me if i take the shackles off the front of the spring and move it to the rear it will lift it 6- 7 inches of lift? and you can do the same to the rear????

no.....

...and both setups are not that easy to do.. just stating things in a simplified way for better understanding...

a shackle flip is for the rear... 6-7" of lift is gained...this is mostly done to compliment a front SOA Spring-Over-Axle)conversion..... Go to the link in my sig for the rear....

a shackle reversal is for the front... maybe 1-2" gained but not mainly done for lift...usually for better ON ROAD performance...
