I bought my 26575R16's for $55 dollars each, they are now three years old and holding up well.

Had an initial problem as I had originally ordered 5 tires, the 5 tire would not quite balance up right, called Hi-Tech and they sent me another tire for freem, and let me keep the other tire. Now I have two spares, with one a bit out of not quite as balanced as the rest.

Had them balanced on a Hunter 9700.

They are Michelin ATX foundations.

i dont understand,,do you send in your own tires and they retread them, or is it $55 for a "new" tire, the price sounds too good to be true if there good tires..

My tires are built from Michelin ATX casisngs, they remove old rubber and buff until the casing is balanced.

Rubber is then added and the tires are sent to be vulcanized with the appropriate tread patterns from the tire molds.

This process bonds the adhesives and heat vulcanizes the tread pattern in the high pressure molds, which bonds the rubber to the casing.

Todays prices are... 265x75R-16...$57.49

Not bad considering you get 20,000 mile from them, and lets face it, other tires may go 40-50,000 but just how well are they balanced at that point.

I just use my highway tire for a few years, and spend 200 bucks and do it all over again.

Like I say, they are great for highway use.

I would go with Kumho M/T Ventures for off-road, which are not retreads.

The picture is the Hi-Tech AP highway tire.
