I've seen a few driving around through the years, and I'm wondering who on here is one of them. I'm sure I'd recognize their rig too.
We don't see many, if any, around these parts.
I'm in Newport.

I'm in downtown Long Beach, currently a right hand seat navigator lol, been salivating for the right jeep for some time now. :banghead: I looked at a jeep recently down in Laguna Beach but leaking badly and the guy wanted too much, the other was down towards Escondido and needed way too much work for what I have time for.

I am new to the club and don't see many, if any waggies down in this neck of the woods. I am in need of some ideas on weather stripping for the inside of the doors? Mine were removed when she was repainted. Has anyone have thoughts on tinting the windows? I go back and forth every few days. THX

I am in North OC. There are several Waggies that I have seen around here. 1 or 2 J-trucks and Cherokees also.
Most of the wagoneers I have seen are in newport, orange park acres, and coto de caza.
Watch out for tint on the front windows. The CHP and local police are cracking down on this. The fine is steep and if stopped while driving it can be more than a fix it ticket.

Black and white tax collectors, yep... My Wife got a ticket in our 04 GTO for window tint by the CHP about a month ago. $195 to pay off the ticket, but we didn't have to remove the tint. :-) Yep, you CAN pay the fine and go on your way. They just want the $, and don't care about officer safety or particularly about everything being all legal like.
We're not in OC, but close enough to warrant a reply... Chino. Matter of fact our 4x4 club is more out your way than ours. Orange County 4 Play. If you're interested in attending a meeting drop me an IM and I'll send you info. :-)

San Diego here. Navy guy stationed here for the last decade or so. Not to push another web site or anything, but google SCUFF. We are a SOCAL (from San DIego to North County) off roading forum. There are almost a dozen or so FSJ owners with the SCUFF group. We have done a few FSJ runs, but with our rigs, they are down more then they run, so it is difficult to get a FSJ run often. We do need to get something together some time.

An FSJ run would be nice. And I may have to check out the SCUFF group. What kind of runs do you guys usually do? My Wife and I belong to a campground that is in Palomar so maybe if we timed it right we could go camping, then go down south a bit further for a run, and go back to our camper that night. :D

Good looking group here... Lot of us local So Cal guys meet up at the SCUFF for all types of runs. The SCUFF is a So Cal site not just as San Diego thing. It originally started in SD but has been growing steadly north from there. In fact we need more Inland Empire, Orange, and LA County guys so feel free to join in for the local stuff. For the international stuff you still need to be here though! :D
Now that it will be cooling off in the desert soon Im guessing we should be having more weekend long runs out there. If you like playing in the Notches, the sand or you would prefer the exploration type of runs you need to get tied into the SCUFF. I just saw a pretty cool dark blue (maybe black) Waggy over on Brookhurst and Adams on my way to work the other morning. Any of you folks know that one? Pretty sure it had a winch on the front.
