I just received a set of Crane valve springs and retainers for the heads I am building...The inner diameter of the old stock springs fit the locating ring on the valve guide rather nicely...The new ones have an inner coil that the stock ones don't have and the spring seems to slop a bit on the valve guide...the outer diameter of the new springs are much larger too...Has this been your experience or do I have the wrong set...the number matches summits part number for a 401 AMC...Regards
