I have a line on a 88 comanche that's not worth more than an engine. I know it's not an HO but it is FI. I'm having trouble getting specs on the whole system. Is the FI in that year TBI or MPI? Has anyone figured out how to keep the brake booster with that intake manifold? Any other heads up would be great. I don't want to drag this thing home for just a 4.0 core.

You need to do some research on this before buying.. The late 1980s non-HO 4.0L engines have a Renix fuel injection system. It is totally different from the Chrysler HO system. They seem to be pretty rare now and may be hard to diagnose and get parts for. The HO's are a lot more popular (but also a little more expensive to buy).

I'm not sure about the intake manifold on those. do a google search including the term renix and you should get some info.

I have a '92 Cherokee that the dash caught on fire. I will sell the 4.0 HO,harness and computer for $600 but you will have to pick it up. If anyone is interested.

152,000. It's still in the truck, starts, runs, drives. Doesn't use any oil or knock. Got 20mpg when I drove it to Houston for Thanksgiving with my folks. The blower motor quit and the blower resistor overheated and caught the dash on fire on Dec. 2nd.

Does your price include everything including accessories, oil pan to efi and fan to flywheel? Are you getting rid of the whole Jeep, my brother needs XJ parts too.
