Just had a skyjacker 4" lift put on and there seems to be a rubbing sound coming from somewhere in the rear. My geuss is that it is coming from the drum brakes, what is rubbing, I do not know?

Anyone had a similar experiance?

greg,
if the sound is coming from the drums, the lift may have stretched your parking brake cables to the maximum...causing some misalignment within the drum(s).
i would try to determine the source of the noise with someone behind the wheel while you walk with it. you really need to give us more info on this so someone here can help.

Strangely enough the sound does not exist when the wagoneer is at a roll, it only becomes noticable at about 10 mph or faster.

Lift the rear axle, take the wheels off and turn the drums one at a time. Listen and feel for any scraping or rubbing. My guess is with Mike. The shoes might be rubbing but just enough that it takes some speed to create enough noise for you to hear.

I checked the rear drum and it does not seem to be the issue..

It sounds like something is rubbing from the differential of which I just put new fluids in, or the transfer case..

Could either of these things have been affected by the install of the skyjacker softride system?
