Question for the fellas at BJ's

Hey Guys,

Just ordered your roof rack grommet and gasket kit. I have all the pieces for the rack except the bolts. I see your kit no longer comes with the bolts. Do you have the exact size that is needed for the kit that I can get from the hardware store? Thanks!

IIRC they are 1/4-20.

They are 1/4-20 Oval Head screws. The problem is the screws available at the hardware store have too large of heads. We are getting some samples in with the reduced head and if they work, we should have something in the next few weeks!

so Ace, Home Depot, and Lowes etc wouldn't have the screws needed?

Try Allensfastners.com ... when I cant find what I need at the local auto/hardware stores....These guys will have it.

no, they aren't the same. While they are close, they are not a 100% match. Once we have the samples in, we'll know right away if they are correct or not.

Any news on this yet? Mine look pretty rusty and I'm getting ready to change the gaskets/grommets, today, hoping none of the screws break.
