85 Wagoneer axles

I just bought this Wagoneer, first Jeep I've ever owned. Does anyone know what axles it came with? They look small to me, and the driveline looks tiny too. Ill be offroading a bunch with it. Should I upgrade them to something heavier duty? Do they come with some sort of posi traction diff?

The Axles should be Dana 44.

Should be a 44 in the front, and the flanged version of the amc 20 out back. Can tell if a 20 by the cover, will be a smooth round "dog dish" type. If it looks like the front cover then a 44. 44's came back in mid '86. Limited slip in the rear was an option I believe.

The flanged 20 is pretty much comparable to a 44. Like 44's in other rigs, once you get over around a 35"+ you might look to replacements.
