:fsj: I just found this site, joined it and wanted to say hello. I live in eastern Washington and I own a 1978 Cherokee I call Old Faithful. Ive done quite a few modifications on it in the 24 years Ive owned it. I did most of the work myself except rebuilding the tranny. The engine is an AMC 360 which I converted over to a 4 barrel. The transfer case is now 'part time'. I also like firearms and trains. Anyway its nice to be here.

Welcome from California! Moved here from Spokane in '68, sometimes wish we hadn't. Guns, trains and Jeeps. You are in the right place. We all like pics here, so post up because...:worthless:

Where in eastern Washington? I'm new to the site too, and live in Kettle Falls and work in Colville. Just picked up my Grand Wagoneer FE last month. Love it, and so do the gas stations  .

Old Faithful,

I am located in yelm, I'm stationed in Fort Lewis and I got tired of the smallness of the CJ and wanted something I could tow something and take my girl, my boys, and dogs out in the beautiful country of the pacific NW I am originally from Oregon so I grew up in the NW and just love everything about it. Looking to make a beautiful FSJ and enjoy some good jeep folks company.

Steve

Old Faithful,
Just got this rig in January for a good deal. '91 GW Final Edition. 65k original miles. I was thinking of putting on some Edelbrock headers (as it has a very slight exhaust leak--kinda sounds like chitty-chitty). But being the Final Edition, i may just leave it stock and have the leak fixed (whether it's a gasket or not), find out when it warms up a little. My wife wants me to sell it already (due to it being a gas guzzler), but I love driving it. She's a white woody with tan interior. When it gets warmer, I'll take some pics after cleaning her up. Right now I'm using her as a commuter between Kettle and Colville. It's either her or my pickup, and she has more character.

I know when my wife and me take Old Faithful out for a drive we or I should say Old Faithful always gets attention. Once in Moses Lake Wa I was draining my life savings into the gas tank and had 4-5 people looking at Old Faithful. Many of the admirers are younger than Old Faithful. Guess Im old.
