Ok now that the holiday is over and the new oil pressure gauge revealed similar op readings I'm ready to rebuild the oil pump. Any tips for this other than what I find in my Haynes manual?

What parts are typical in a rebuild kit? I want to replace anything that remotely could be at fault so I don't want to be making second or third trips back to the parts store. I'd like to have this vehicle back on the road as soon as possible. Will a rebuild kit parts for rebuilding the oil pressure relief valve?

Thanks and pray for my 360,

Stuart

Hey Stuart,

I see that you and I are still on the hunt for the same thing. "Black Gold!". There is a place in Chatsworth, CA. called "Performance Automotive Warehouse" that sells a kit including: oil pump gears, psi relief valve, and spring for 65-93 V-8 motors. At a price that my wallet can relate to, $12.95.The part # is PAW-K85. at www.pawengineparts.com. (http://www.pawengineparts.com.) Can you keep me posted on what happens? Since I'll be rebuilding mine pretty soon as well. Good luck to you and your project.

Joe,

Yup, a little time off from the oil pressure dilemma for some turkey and football and back at it again. I tried the link you included and got the following message:

Any thoughts?
