Engine Rotation

Do all engines rotate in the same direction?
Reason for question has to do with interchangeability of things like alternators, fans/clutches, AC compressors?
I would eventually like to go the route of a OBA and OB welder and wanted to know if I needed to avoid certain makes because of rotation.

The only engines the i know of that are reverse rotation, are marine inboard engines.

...That I have heard about but not seen. I know that distributors are designed with clockwise or CCW rotation. If our engines didn't rotate the same direction we wouldn't be able to swap running gear very well.

corvair engines rotate counter clockwise
