Do all of the AMC V8's have externally balanced rotating assemblies? I've worked on a friend's 304 V8 and it was externally balanced.

304-401 are all basically the same setup.

The Harmonic Balancers and Flexplates & Flywheels are all balanced for each engine. None are interchangable from one motor to the next. YIKES!!!! Such a common mistake and oh such a bad one!!!! :eek:

Sorry, I was unclear - answered the question in my mind, but not with my fingers. I meant they were all externally balanced. CrazyJeepman is right, they are not interchangeable among all engine sizes. Gotta chedk the parts manuals to make sure which go with what.
