Yes and no, we are changing the angle so it lines up better with the fascia so I will wait until he finishes prototype #2 to show this.

These are UPS-able so what is your zip code and do you want the winch bar?
Thanks!

85213 (I can go with a business address if that is cheaper)
With a winch bar.
And sure they are not cheap but they are priced pretty good compared to other vendors products of a similar type (and they fit our jeep...)

Holy Moley, I just saw the price tag! Way to much for me.
It is more expensive than our other bumpers but the other bumpers are built off of something... Dozer II is 2x6 steel capped with brackets welded through it, the Cliffhanger is a 7x7 piece with brackets welded through it and ends welded on. This is fabricated from scratch from flat stock, it all takes time (and money)... So there is twice as much welding, twice as much grinding, etc. Doing it this way allows us to bring the bumper close to the facia and the brackets now mount from underneath instead of the side.

Depending on the exact size when it is done, it will either be:
$95 residential or $145 residential. It all depends on the size when complete. If you have a widetrack it will definitely be $145. For a business, it takes $10 off of each quote.

Oh, I completely understand the labor involved and not to mention what plate steel costs, it's just priced beyond my budget. It looks great, I'm just poor.

Nice looking bumper guys! The quality looks top notch and with the labor cost, materials, and other misc. costs it looks like a great value. You get what you pay for and if I wasnt already hooked up Id save up for one. Nice Job http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g23/metaltwister/SCRAM/PROFSheriffHL.gif

WOW very nice. Its a shame $850 is just the base price though. Guess its kinda the same deal with the WJ grand bumpers.
Whats the deal with the recessed lights being pricey and not including lights?
I would like to see a fully loaded one (with front mount winch if possible) from every angle.
Thanks

The brackets we use interfere with the spring mounts on the 1963-73 J-trucks, once we get a truck here to mock something up off of, I am sure we can make something work but for now, no.

The recessed lights are built using 1/4" thick round pipe, they are fully welded in, this is done to insure the integrity of the bumper, it is quite a bit of work to add those into the bumper.

This is a steal of a deal, a fab fours or similar is north of $2000 for my 2005 cummins, and there is a bigger market for late model stuff, lots more units to spread the design costs over. Awesome design and a good deal!

Could the bumper be built to fill the gap of a 3" body lift? and instead of the lights add 2" reciever mounts for my feeders to mount to???

I worked for them for a couple weeks. They are nice bumpers, but 100% unabashedly marketed to people with large bank accounts/egos. Those bumpers are also designed in SolidWorks and fit with millimeters of tolerance.
This is a nice design, has some umpf to it but doesn't look like a giant stupid T-rex jaw jutting out.

sooooo, not to be a pest, but if I could find someone near gig harbor with a 63-67, you'd be willing to look and see? If so, I'll start trying to find someone to help me out...
I talked to a fab shop in modesto once about this type of bumper and they said they could do it... I'm not quite roadworthy enough to drive to modesto just yet... but, I sure like the bumper you guys have and I try to steer my business to BJ's when I can because you guys have been so helpful on so many other things....

Yes to all of your questions. If you go here:

There are options for body lifts, hitches, lights, etc so you add what you want and you're set!

Really nice job on the design.
The price seems high to many FSJ'ers, but thats not a bad price when you compare it to others bumpers of the same size and materials from Warn or ARB. Its actually still quite a bit less than their bumpers. Its not in my price range at this time, but one day!

Great looking bumper!
My only minor quibble: if you are still in the design and prototyping phase, have you considered making it a touch shorter vertically? Maybe it is just the photo but to my eye it looks like it hangs lower than need be...

It is a little deceiving with the pics. The painted pic makes it look proper:
http://www.bjsoffroad.com/cartgenie/images/large/crawlerfront.jpg
The angles are weird and it is a little tall but to make it smaller loses the ability to put lights and stuff. We'll see what (if anything) changes on his 2nd bumper.

if you could pull the d-ring mounts off and move the lights over, it could be a bit shorter.

That can't happen, the d-ring mounts are what mounts the bumper on the backside which means those d-ring are directly tied to the frame which makes them super strong. The d-ring mounts are the only thing that cannot move.

I have a 66 Gladiator, are the front springs the only things that interfere with the bumper mounting? I did a 3-link suspension conversion so may be in the market, can you tell me how far down the frame needs to be left bare for the brackets to bolt up? If you could post a pic of the frame mounts that would be awesome
Really like the last pic on the thread with the lights off to the sides    .

Have you found a truck to use for mock up yet? I have a '70 J-3000 that I might be able to make the drive up with. How long do you need it for? I also have a '67 J-3000 that I'm probably going to end up cutting the frame somewhere around the A-pillar. If it'd work you could tell what needs to be on it and you could use it.
Oh yeah ... Do you need a truck to mock up the '63-'73 rear bumper off of, or just for the front?
