Ford Tfi with custom efi

Hey again everyone. I have decided to add a custom efi fuel injection system to my rig. I am wondering if the ford Tfi swap will work with this system? Maybe it would be better to add a system like jacobs or mallory ignition? has anyone else out there added fuel injection and used any of these ignition systems? this is my first rig that I am really doing some serious planning on and mods on. any help will be appreciated. I mainly just want the rig to fire up reliably. Out here on the east coast when the seasons change and winter comes the ole motercraft starts to act up. Summertime is fine but winter brings trouble starts. I also have to warm the carb up for like ten mins before leaving or it will shut off. I hope I can eliminate this by adding custom efi and a better ignition system. thanks you all for your help. you all have been very helpful and gret thus far. Have you thought about using an HEI from Ted Wendell? That way if you go with the GM TBI setup the ECM will control the spark timing and can retard the timing in the event you get some detonation. At least that is the route I am going.

over the past year i have installed the custom efis system. The system can be ordered two ways. You can use the old ignition or you can use the custom efis system.
I went the custom efis system. I use my stock distributer and coil. You do away with square module on the fender. A GM ignition module is used in place of the one on the fender.
I have also put in a partial tfi upgrade. I put on the 8mm wires, distributer cap and base. Later on i will may put on a different coil but the truck runs like a champ in its present condition.
I really like the custom efis system though my system took some time to work out a few bugs and I would recommend it to anyone.

Custom EFI's system works just fine with the TFI upgrade. As far as I know all his systems come with the external GM ignition module that can control the timing. Unless he has changed since I got mine.

You will love the efi in the winter. I was in the same boat as you last winter. It was 30 below last week and it fired right up and I drove away.
