I'll be about 50 miles north of it on the same day with a bike instead of a FSJ for the Triathlon at Lake Cahuilla. Hope you all have fun though!

Metal Twister,
I will be there! I will be bringing my '78 Cherokee Chief towing our Coleman Evolution E2 pop up trailer, and the wife will be driving our 2006 LJ. Sure am looking forward to it. Missed it last year as our second son was born March 7th.
Tom, bummer, would have been great to see you. It has been a while.

I want to.. :( Dunno if I can tho.. Jeep still has a major leak, and a potential crank-shaft issue. So I want to do a 4L swap.. probably won't be done by then.
I'm thinking about coming out for the day or possibly one night. My family can't make this trip, so it would be just me and my Willys Wagon.
The Wagon is not suited for anything too difficult, but I'd like to do some moderate wheeling with it as well as check out the new obstacle course.
It'd be great to meet up with some FSJs if possible.

I will be there in the white wag. Bringing my Dad too.
Confirmed, I'll be there in the wag with my Dad on Sat morning. We live so close, we'll just show up for the run and register about 6:30 am or so. Run is sheduled for 8am. Check out the safety requirements on the web site. There are go arounds for the tougher segments. As this is a stock ht wag, that will be good. Hope to see some of you there.

Went on Saturday for the big run. Had a great time. Took us about 3 hours or so to do the run. Stayed on the green trail but found it really hairy at times in the stock Wag. Had a really good response from the run staff. One comment was, "Now that is a real Jeep, woo hoo" with a hand pump. Handled the big climb near the end and got front air at the top. My son pointed out the plow effect my ball hitch made in some areas and I cracked up a set of nice backup lights mounted to low. The stock trailer hitch makes a good rock slider. Used my desert wash runner skills to slide off the big drop offs sideways. Ran the whole morning in 4 low avg speed about 5 mph. Over 900 vehicles participated.
I only saw 2 other FSJ's. Both were big rock machines near the new rock course and hill climb areas.

I passed the 78 Arizona Chief pulling a sweet looking camper near Chiriaco Summit, CA on my way to the triathlon in La Quinta. How did it it go?

Tom
that was pretty funny! Here I am cruising along at a comfortable 65-70 mph and I hear this honking. At firstI thought someone was irritated with me for some reason and then I noticed it was you and the wife. Pretty funny stuff. Yeah we love the trailer. It is a Coleman Evolution Series E-2 pop trailer. We bought it 2 years ago after going to TDS. We make a yearly thing out of it now.
Anyway, had a great time. Old jeep did awesome, the TJ Unlimted did great too. No breakage is always a plus. Looking forward to next year.
