Ok guys - I'm still battling a steering problem. When driving, I am constantly having to over-correct. The Jeep isn't cornering worth crap and will not hold a line. I have replaced the steering box, and the tie rods. I even replaced that little rubber disk thingy. Where would you advise me to look next. My primary suspect is the wheel bearings. They are fairly new. However, I did them myself using the Hayne's manual and there is no guarantee that I did not miss something. Where else should I look.

P.S. The ball joints also seem to be ok.

What about your bushings in the suspension. Mine are getting bad and the steering is loose. I have newer tie rod and new wheel bearings.
Have someone turn the wheel and take a look at the bushings. You should be able to tell if it is flexing much

Check you track rod also front and rear. Could be loose and sliding side to side. My front did that and it wondered some. But it did make a popping noise when it did it. Check your leaf spring bushings in the rear also. If they are shot it could wonder all over the place. Other note. Jack up the front of the rig. Grab you wheel/tire. Try to move it up/down and Side to side. Make sure you steering wheel is locked it helps. If it moves it could be the bearings are loose or the ball joints. I would check those things first. Did it wonder like that prior to doing the box and the tie rod ends?
Do you have a steering stabilizer on it? How good of condition is that in?

The stabalizer is new. I replaced the tie rods, box, etc. because of the wandering. That is why this is so frustrating.

look on your spindle where the tie rod attaches. a bit after I bought mine it was wandering like crazy and wearing out tires, found out PO didnt tighten up nut on tie rod end all the way, and it egged out the hole on the spindle, had to replace tie rod end and spindle.

just a thought
