I ordered the Whole Headliner board with the material attached to the board. (the board was missing from my GW when I got it.)
ANYWAY.... Just want to say how wonderful the product is, and how awesome Steve was to work with. I Highly recommend it! If you are on the fence about using this vendor, then rest easy, he's the real deal.

what do you use for the backing material? when mine was taken down it looked like cardboard. I need something more durable.

I use a thick one direction roll substrate cardboard material. I laminate 36" long support rods to the back side which prevents side to side sag and then I laminate 1/8" closed cell foam to the backside which acts as a moisture/insulation barrier.
Before I cover the surface of the panel with the foambacked cloth headliner material, I seal coat the surface of the panel. This adds extra protection from the elements.
The one directional roll allows me to roll the headliner panels up and insert in a 54x12x12 shipping box, then I insert an air baffle to prevent the parcel from being crushed while in transit.
I have looked into abs and even the fiberglas/abs resin shower panels someone else mentioned here. But have not tried using that material to make the panels. I would be concerned on the freight on shipping those.

I have just installed my SMS headliner in the 1990 GW.
I'm EXTREMELY HAPPY with the product and the absolutely perfect fit.
The panels went in without a hitch, all holes that were pre cut lined up exactly as they should. Thanks again Steve!
