OK, I have a '87 GW with 140k on it so I am changing the filter and fluid in the AT. When I droped the pan I found a O-ring in there? I think it is from the filler tube. HOW MANY O-RINGS ARE ON THE FILLER TUBE ON THE AT I HAVE IN THE '87 GRAND WAGONEER?? How do I put it back and KEEP it there?

It is a TF727. I doubt the O ring is off the dipstick tube. Most likely off the Filter where it presses up into the trans. There is an O ring where the pick up tube on the filter presses into the trans case.

Should there be a new O-ring in the tune-up kit with the filter??

no the 727 filter screws to the bottom of the valve body the o-ring if it is thumb size is most likley from some one changing the dip stick tube o-ring and lost it in the pan in sted of taking the pan loose to remove the o-ring they just left it in there and put another one on the tube throw it away if your dip stick tube does not leak then dont worry about it
