amc20 wheel bearings

let me get this straight. the wheel bearings on the amc20 are lubricated with the axle's gear oil? then why does it call for an inner seal?

They're not lubed by the diff oil. You need to pack them with grease when installing.

that's what i thought. some guy at the parts store was trying to tell me that the gear oil lubes the bearings. i'm like....what? have another beer dude. thanks joe.

He might have been thinking of the D44.
