Was thinking of Nathan and I to get outta town this weekend.
One idea was to check out the Illinois Railway Museum at Union, Ill.
I've been there a few times, but Nathan has not.
I also was thinking of checking out a Pick & Pull Yard in the Chicago area.
Not looking for anything special...maybe a radiator for my J10.
A yard visit would be more of entertainment.
Nathan likes to check out salvage yards. (I do, too!)
Any suggestions of which yard to visit?

There is this one:

Their online site says they have a 84 Wagoneer there.
If you are in the area feel free to stop by and see my mess.

I saw that, but wonder if that is an XJ Wagoneer?

Thanx for the invite.
I am just knocking this idea around.
Still thinking about this trip.

That place is a JOKE parts cost more then Gold if it's out of the classic section and all FSJ are in there Forget it
I think they wanted $185 bucks for a np229 last time

You can haggle any price... I walked out with two almost mint Baby Jeep 6-way power leather seats for $50 plus tax.. and some other interior pieces for free.
When LKQ in Rockford had the FSJ last fall it ended up going to the crusher almost complete...

Well...Nathan and I did not go outta town this weekend, however, thanks for the tips.
I am sure will make the trip to the Illinois Railway Museum, soon I hope.
I need to get away from the rat-race and a road trip always works for me!

If you are still planning on coming this direction. Email or call IRM before coming up if you want to see a specific part of the museum. Some of the exhibits are not open in the winter.
