Turbocharged 360

Hi, I was wodering if anybody has put a turbo or turbos on their:drivin: ACM motor..............Joey

I have not heard of anybody doing this, but I'm a big fan of turbos (I have 3, all on diesels) and I have thought for a long time that a 4.0 turbo'd would be nice.

Sure, there are some threads on here you can search up on turbo AMCs. You will find a pretty wild twin turbo 401 that Hankrod put together.

There was a turbo kit on E-bay a little while back for a 360-401 turbo bolted to the header had the intake and everything looked pretty cool

And a turbo'd 360 sounds sweet. Seen a 4.0 on YT that has turbo and sounds like a Detroit Diesel :thumbsup:.

That's a generic kit that they just put every car name into the description for. A magazine recently bought it, and determined while it's not a complete rip off, it's mostly chinese junk. I think with another 2g's they put together a nice system with it.

I am glad to see I am not the only crazy jeeper, I am just putting my 360 togeather for twin turbo set up,,the motor neads to be kept low compresion between 7.1 to 9.1, I am using LPG only so can go to 9.1, I have a turbo cam I got off of Greg Taylor, and am using dished pistons with 20th bore,the turboes are going to be fitted behinde the cab on my J20 tray top with twin intercoolers fitted with vents behind the cab also,this leaves room in the engine bay and less heat also, I am planning to send some shots of progress as soon as I can work out how to do the PC thing....Joey:drivin:

They're right down the road from me, and been to the shop. Very nice owner and they do some *quality* work. Any money spent there, is well spent.
