My owners manual says to use "Jeep Power Steering Fluid". Is Dextron II acceptable?

According to the Haynes manual, they recommend Dexron II or III.

i've been using STP power steering fluid since i got the truck. seems to work fine.

I use ATF fluid (same stuff i put in my 65 stang's C4) it works great, and it takes heat well, since you guys with autos know that ATF gets rather hot. I havent run into any problems in the past, used it in lots off cars with zero probs.
