Hey it is just around the corner, how about we talk about what we want to run.

I would like to venture out to find Off Broadway and Broad Canyon. I think we tried to find one of those last year but had not luck..

What days are most folks coming in?

We'll be there around noon-ish on the 28th (thursday).
Don't care where we go really.

I do think we should do a night run for Halloween on the 31st.
Probably just something fun, close and easy for that run.

I'll be checking in on Thursday around noon and leaving Sunday. Not sure what to expect wheeling, this is her first run, so don't want to tax anything.

...Not sure what to expect wheeling, this is her first run, so don't want to tax anything.
I wouldn't worry about it, this is a great group to wheel with and between us we pack a ton of tools and spare parts.
This is a shake down run for my front 60, with a 300 mile trip home I don't plan to head into spots where I think breakage will occur either.

Cayenne maybe a bit too much for my experience level and I'd be happy to see if I can't find my way back through box canyon again and do some exploring over the back side of the dam.

Now isn't that one where me and Irving screwed up are rigs on last time? It has the Lava rock entry? Or am I wrong.... I thought we did that the first year but you were not with us Sambo.

Michael, I was thinking this part for box canyon:
http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=110797

But remember after the XJ choptop showed up, he took us up the North side of that wash to the CCC dam?
There was that whole area out to the North of the dam that looks to be in between the airport and the Off-Broadway map/directions.

I think I have that correct.
Sam and Jaime were not there yet, you went back with them later as I recall.

yes cayenne does have a lava entry to it! tad first time we ran it i was followed by samurais and near stock jeeps!

i broke my front shaft, then killed my batt.then the winch fest started!

I think we can get to Broad Canyon from the airport side instead of from the Radium Springs area we tried last year, due to the closed gate.

Last time we tried Cayenne, there was major breakage at the top, but that was the last 100 ft. or so. The rest was not bad and McJeep had 35" tires then and made it up to that point. I think we are in better shape for it now.
