Hello all. I have a 1978 Jeep Wagonner with the stock V8 360 2 barrel. It badly needs to be rebuilt/replaced. I called around today and did some price comparisons. The companies that supply motors to my city are Delco, Powermaster/Cummins, ATK, Global Engines and Chrysler. If price was not an option, I would go with a Chrysler motor, but.....
Any info on the other companies quality would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Check out Jasper. They seem to have the best engines in the biz, and their prices aren't bad for what you get--new, not remanufactured, parts. I believe they're at www.jasperengines.com (http://www.jasperengines.com) but I'm not positive. A Chrysler reman'd motor will drive you broke. Why not rebuild what you have?

bought a few from ATK, they were all good.
have one from REMAN no problem with it.
used to buy motors from a company in TX called AGP nationwide, used atleast a dozen of em and no customers ever came back with complaints. and i think their prices were the best.

I bought a motor from Pepboys about 7 years ago for my bronco. It has been a good motor to date. Seemed well built when we put it in. Had a 12 month 12000 mile warranty.

I have a Jasper Reman in my GW--no problems at all; with a great warranty.

What did it cost you for that Jasper? And what kind of warranty?
