I've replaced many o radios in the various autos I've had. So when last week my radio quit in Jeep, I thought no problem. I pulled it last night to see if a blown fuse(its not stock. the p.o. replaced it with a cheapy Majestic). Well the fuse was blown(inline) replaced the fuse and nothing. I'm not getting juice to the fuse at the radio. the fuse in the fuse block is fine. All wiring to radio is untouched. He just hooked is connector to the existing wiring. I can't find why there is no juice. I try a new 12v power line from rear window wiper fuse(wiper is missing). instantly blow fuse. replace ground wire. same thing. I do have power to the memory.
any ideas? I'm begining to wonder if it is the radio itself. Maybe I'll try taking it directly to the battery see if it still blows fuses.

friend:
i have the original radio/tape from my '89.
all the speakers were gone so i never tried it. replaced it with one from a '91 nfsj (non-fullsized jeep!) ill try the old one now that there are speakers. the black paint is worn off of the buttons pretty bad. if it
works, you can have it for shipping

I may take you up on that bill. If everything works. Would be much cheaper than a new system. Wife doesn't think I need one.
If you have a pic that would be great. If not ok too.
