I'm gonna try my best to make it this year! I'm a teacher, so it depends on how much snow we get and how many days of school we miss. Doesn't look good to miss the last days with kids. But the weekend should still be open!

That's why we set the dates for after school lets out.
Here's to NO snow...well not enough to close school and just enough to make it look like winter wonderland and go away the next day.
And as for being a teacher...
THANKS!

Considering that the Chero is a school project, she should be done by then...
Hopefully I can make it; it would be a neat trip. I will have to wait and confirm when the date approaches though.
Wow. Just checked it out. That is a 7 hour drive at best for me.

Cory, watch GFSJ closer to time, and the guys start posting who is and is not making it. You can hook up with them and convoy. Heck even if the Jeep is not ready for the trip, you could see about riding up with someone. (I know, I know, better with your own rig. I am one to talk, I have not been due to my rig not ready, but there were other things that came up as well. )

Only issue to overcome is the funding to get there and still be able to do Ouray in July.

Basic camping gear. Most of us bring a plethera of spare parts and tools to keep these rigs running, but its always nice to have your own. Just make sure if it isn't tied down or safely secured, leave it at the camp. Rollovers do happen, and loose items make for worse complications.

This year's raffle should be one of the best to date!!! Details to follow.... Stay tuned!!!
BTW, you do not have to show with an FSJ. Too many times do we hear that I wanted to come, but my rig wasn't ready. Come anyways!!! There are always open seats and empty campsites. Camping is free, and if you aren't driving, the trails are free too.
This year, we plan to do a FREE community breakfast for all that attend, on Saturday morning.
We are also planning Easy and Not-so-easy trail rides to take place at specific times throughout each day. Believe it or not, organization is the goal!!!! Of course, these will not be required, and other rides (outside of the schedule) will be encouraged.
Less than 4 months away.... :fsj:

I may even make it this year. The Cherokee is almost finished so it should be about time to go out and tear it up. I think I will even take my TADRACK out of the boxes and install it. Are dogs allowed in the campsite? Did I read that there are flush toilets and hot showers to boot?? It sounds better all the time.

Dogs are welcome as long as they stay under the owner's control, USFS rule, we have not had any problems in years past. Yes there are now flush toilets to go with the hot showers.

Adult beverages will be at the discretion of the adults. Underage consumption will NOT be tolerated/allowed. Unruly or unresponsible behavior will also NOT be tolerated/allowed. Open containers on any of the trails, trailheads, or roads leading to either will NOT be tolerated/allowed. Any violators of said actions will be asked to vacate the group camp immediately and will forfeit any and all participation of the event (including the raffle and scheduled trail rides). There should be no reason why we can't act like adults and enjoy ourselves, but we must police ourselves and behave responsibly.

So it seems ive hit another road block in my quest to attend ECI. I have a trailer to rent, planning on getting a trailer brake setup for the waggy, permission from the wife. All seems good, but now my grandmother wants to have a family reunion on June 11th! Family from all over the country will be there, and I know that my jeep will be around longer than my grandmother, so I'm going to attend as it would mean a whole lot to her. However, I should have two personal days I could possibly burn on Thursday and Friday, so I could leave Saturday around noon to make the reunion.
So...what will be going on Thursday and Friday, and what will I miss on Saturday and Sunday?:banghead:

So...what will be going on Thursday and Friday, and what will I miss on Saturday and Sunday?:banghead:
Thursday, a few of us will be rolling in at all hours of the evening and setting up camp. Depending on how many people are there, and who feels up to it, there may or may not be a trail ride or 2 that day.
Friday, more people will be showing up as the day progresses. As people get settled in, trail rides will happen.
Saturday, you'll miss the raffle and most of the wheeling. If you're there till noon, you'll make the group breakfast that morning.
Sunday, everyone packs up and we do a quick trail cleanup of our sponsored trail. Not mandatory for non-club members (or club members for that matter).

You can always just come up and ride with people and meet some fellow FSJers. You don't have to go through all of the trouble and expense of renting a trailer and towing your rig and all that. You don't have to show with an FSJ to take part. There's alot of people that only come for 1 or 2 days. That's why we spread it out over 4 days, so people can come when it fits into their schedule.

Hey Dumpy, you don't have to be there 9 and 10. I don't go 'til Sat. and if you leave Franklin, say, 4:30, 5:00 Sat. morn, you could make 11th/12th activities just fine.
