Hey guys I looked around for an answer to my question. Who has flipped/ or is it possible to flip the front U Bolts on a spring under front axle? It was a bit embaressing over the weekend being the best set up to wheel, and having to be pulled off a stump because my u bolts decided they were going to grab a stump. I blame this on the GF because we were looking at the trail map trying to find a trail. I had to get a tug by a Rubicon. If those dam bolts were not there she would have pushed right over it.
Anybody?
Thanks.

Jeep Dude,
Dynatrac makes a nice universal kit that my brother and I put on his '80 Honcho with a Skyjacker 4 inch kit. In the end, it was better for us to call Dynatrac, and have them send the raw pieces not all welded together for the drivers side (pumpkin side) to make sure we got it all lined up good. It came out pretty darn slick and definitely reduces the hangups.

Can you take pics of this? What did you have to line up that wouldnt normally work with it already welded together?

I see if my brother and shoot some picts. He is in california and I am in AZ. Anyway, what we ran into was the drivers side plate sits half on the cast iron section and half on the tube. Dynatrac at the time did not make one specifically for the FSJ housings, we were using the one for the YJ. The plate did not sit level because the 1/2 moon shaped side plates were too tall on one side. They decided to just ship us the un welded parts so we could trim them as needed and then weld them up. The passenger side plate worked out just fine though. Just make sure the u-bolt holes are drilled to a 3-inch spacing to accomodate the FSJ larger tubes.
Kevin.
