View Full Version : Picked up my Jeep

OK, I made it to Colorado on Fri. afternoon. And on Sat. I went to Dave in Loveland the guy I bought it from. Did not get to see him:o but picked up some more parts at his place, thanks Dave and then headed to Darrel in Estes Park that I got a couple of compressor from and he was keeping the Jeep at his place. I got it loaded and headed back to Fraser where I was staying. Thanks Darrel for all of your help:thumbsup:. And then on Sun. went to Denver an seen Austin and his looong J Truck and is it going to be a sweet truck. It was good to meet you Austin:thumbsup:. And from there I went the Scott place and picked up the 4" spring lift that I bought from him and he loaded me up with more parts. Thanks Scott and it was good to see you also:thumbsup:. Then back to the Condo in Fraser where I took the Wagoneer out in the mountain, oh yes it got hot[not real hot]and yes it vapor locked. First time for me. And anyway it was the fan clutch that was bad. I rap a piece of wire around the water pump bolt a then around the fan blade and thhen got it started and drove it back and no more getting hot and it ran lower part of the heat range. Of course before I got all the way back to the Condo the wire broke and was getting warm again. Will be heading toward Jason in Salida tomorrow.
And yes I know you want pic of the Jeep[401] being hauled back by Flint house:thumbsup:.

Hope this trip is well worth it.

They were not bad at all. He had one in the back of the Wagoneer already and the other one we put in the back of the pick up truck with one of those little power forklift from his friend piece of cake,:thumbsup:. They were BIG.

How can we fault him though? :p Jerry could do American Pickers 401 Style. :D I did get a bribe with some Fiesta Mexicana dinner. Thanks Jerry! :cool:

Here is the proof. It is all there with exception of some missing metal (read: rust) in the rear fenders and quarters.

Are those selectable hubs on the rear? Or am I just used to seeing all my rigs with no center caps:D

Not selectable hub just good center caps.

OK - just for those of you in the rust belt, I am gonna stir the pot a bit...
Jerry is parting this one out. I am not the only one who parts out whole FSJs just because they have a little rust. :eek: :p :lol:
