After about 5yrs of hunting I finally have found a J10 (360), fairly solid apart from scabby paintwork (but that was sorted in a day with some effort and a roller brush). Its a Golden Eagle spec, but the decals got rollered.

Only real issues are the bed floor will need replacing and has no reverse (no biggy, i have spare box's). And the wheels have got to change, gold isnt for me!

Only downside is the J20 has to go, the Chief needs a respray, the CJ needs money for the dana 44 conversion, and I have money intended for the J10, so realistically the J20 will be a few years away from even starting, and as its in the front yard for the whole world to see my good lady wife has negotiated its marching orders.

(here is a link for the J20 just if u curious, im not tryin to sell to u it as im guessin shippin would be $$$$$$$$$$$x$$$$$$$$$$) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200519706041&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

Anyway, here are my J10 pics

The J-10 does look to be in a better shape and quicker to get fix up. Nice looking truck.

Im amazed you find those over there, are they Right hand drive?

Ill bet that J20 would sell quick in the Cotswald district, or between there and Wales. My first trip there I felt like I was in TX, some were even flying the Rebel Flag!

The J10 is a RHD but converted from LHD (as is my CJ7), the Chief is original RHD (im guessin it got diverted from the aussie market), and the J20 is LHD (allegedly came from a US airforce base over here).

In the last 5 yrs I haven't seen a 10, 20, Chief or Waggy on the road (CJ's are more common), I have seen plenty rusting beyond repair in fields etc, but none moving. As far as I know thru the jeep clubs here im the only one with a working Chief (and its near spotless), but I do know someone who has 2 J10's in good condition but he has mothballed them, and I know a beautiful J20 that is used as a daily driver. Other than that, any others i know are "restoration" projects (ie. never destined for the road).

Sayin all that i have always got an ear to the ground for a 'barn find', the Chief came to me out of the blue, so ya never know. I got a call last week for 2 J10 rolling complete chasis last week sittin in a barn so they are around, unfortunately they both had 360's, its the 401 that is more elusive the lord elusive himself. I have a 401 one in my CJ, but that is the only one anyone knows about, moving or not

...and the J20 is LHD (allegedly came from a US airforce base over here). That was gonna be my guess...some GI had Uncle Sam ship that monster to the UK.
Then this GI found out how much insurance and petrol costs are in Europe and parked it.
...or it failed a safety inspection after it arrived.
When I served in the US Army in Germany, I saw that happen many times.
Typically, the less-than-wise GI would sell his American build junk and buy a nice smaller European car that is cheaper own and operate.
A good source of these cheap rides were GI's returning to the States and would sell their car for nothing to his GI Buddy.
You Europeans have excellent rail service, so I never bothered with a car of my own and spent my money on rail passes.

I understand about storage space and restless neighbours, but it's a shame that you could not keep some of the parts for your J10 project.
Like those J20 axles, wheels and tires, the J20 steering gear box, the J20 double diaphragm brake booster and other J20 parts to enhance your J10.
For me, I always rest easier at night when I have an extra AMC 360 and tranny around.
I know...it's a part of the sickness to enjoy having a 360 that needs rebuilt or tranny that has some sort of issue.

I really like your "Rat Rod" style rolled on flat black paint job.
Here in the States, that "Rat Rod" look is very popular and stylish.

Anyways, here is a kudos for you and your new J10!
