Jump Start Please HELP

[Simple Kind of Man]

I go to crank my Jeep yesterday & I get a sound like a buzzer going off, I figure it is not getting good connection so I work on the battery cables & give it another try. This time it turns over but very slowly, so I hook a set of jumper cables to it & start to connect to the other battery, got the + hooked up but when I put the - to the jumper bat my jeep starter kicked in. What's up with this :confused: :confused: :confused:
