Hey gang,

On my 83 G/W, this weekend it just started idleing lower than normal. It dosen;t stall, but it feels close to it.

* Where is the adjustment for the idle?
* What would cause it to just lower the idle?

Help Please@

Drivers side of the carb. Screw adjuster on lever/arm.
Electric choke could change idle if out of adjustment.

Woody,

What is the proper way to adjust the electric Choke?

Before you do that, check the idle on the carb. I think your carb will have the curb idle solenoid on the drivers side of carb toward the front of the linkage. Look at the solenoid and see how far the plunger is sticking out when cold. Warm up the motor and check it again. It should have moved in and lowered the idle. You may just have to loosen the nut and rotate the solenoid out to increase the curb idle.

sudden low idle, seems like a vacuum leak... check all your hoses
