I currently have two J20's in my driveway.

I have a '75 that is no longer running......needs a ton of work, however, it does have a D44 with flat top knuckles and a high steer kit already installed.

I also have a '80 that is in great shape and runs, but is still 100% stock. I'm wanting to do a SOA/Shackle flip but will need high steer once I do that.

Any issues with swapping just the knuckles from one jeep to the other? I can't imagine so, but I have been wrong in the past. Jeep changed a bunch in '80 on these things (including going from a passenger drop to drivers drop front axle) so I don't want to waste effort if it ain't gonna work.

Thanks!

No problems, they bolt right in.

The only issue is you risk making the rest of us that are in the "parts gathering" stage for this project a little jealous, seeing as you have everything you need sitting in the driveway. Have fun doing it an dpost pictures!

Yeah, the truck is in hard shape and my wife has been nagging me to get rid of it. I was able to sell the motor, but the rest is just sitting there. So I will be tearing it down and storing all the spare parts that I can.

Definitely, the hubs are already leaking a bit of grease right now anyways so they will get the full treatment.
