Hey all,

I have a 91' Wag. I just finished installing a 4" lift kit from BJ's. It was a PITA, but it sure looks a lot better.

Anyway, I am in the process of changing about every seal that this wag has. I am going to change the seals in the Transfer case....it is a np229. What fluid do I need to go back in it with???

any automatic transmission fluid will work...your TF727 transmission uses ATF+3 chrysler fluid. Use that to keep it simple.

I think the NP cases are based on GM Dexron II or III. It's the most common ATF, anyway.

Probably becuase type F doesn't allow as much slippage as the others.
