hello all,
So i bought my first FSJ today(ill get pics up ASAP) , i picked up an New-to-Me 84' GW at about noon today and haven't stopped grinning since:thumbsup: Shes in pretty Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley good shape for the price i paid, and the Previous owner was an old member here apparently.. i was originally gonna tow an old 78 cherokee chief out of my buddies pasture and start spending, but for The 1200 i spent on this waggy i wouldn't have even been able to get it drivable.
I have alot of questions for sure, but heres the rundown;
Shes got the 360 W/ emission delete and new headers and exhaust, stock D44 up front and AMC 20 with a Detroit outback.the stock np229 was replaced with a np208(wich i dont totally understand yet) and The BJ's 6" lift with sway disconnects and 35" BFGs on chevy rims! man i get all pumped just talking about it!!! enough enough i gotta get some pics up!!! :fsj:

Welcome to the new Wacko guy from the land of 401s! :thumbsup:
An 84 with a 229 would have the vacuum disconnect on the front axle. I am curious how this one is set up with the 208. Does it still have the vacuum disco on it?

My 84 J-10 has a NP208. I think it was stock. No vacuum lines to the diffs.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm a J-10 guy, don't know much about the Waggy's.
So now the question is, does his Waggy have manual lockout hubs?

Thanks alot guys i appreciate it. only downfall is i have to replace the flywheel and starter NOW. but i already picked them up at advance before i bought the the old gal. i put the new starter in and drove her from S. Austin to my Campus home in Wacko. with no starter trouble but maybe a bit of what yall describe as vapor lock seeing as it was 105* out and i was doing 70 with 4.10s:drivin: .. ah well ill be going through her in the campus shop this week!:D
