I tried it with a dpa and experienced the steering issues as described. My pinion and caster angle changed A LOT. Stuka told me to drop the front mount down with a 3" block to compensate the change, if I remember right. I also used 6" springs that were reversed (long side to the rear). I put my shackles back in stock location.

I can see by looking at the pics in the link, that dropping the front hangers by a few inches would help to level the springs a bit more.I still need to weld my spring perches on,so I can adjust the pinion angle as needed. Thanks for the info fellas.Anyone else have more pics and input?

There was about 8 degrees caster added that I corrected with a wedge and with the offset pin on the spring it put the steering very close to hitting. However, the Chevy springs corrected this. Do a search, there's a lot posted on the SR.

as long as you correct the extreme caster angle, you can do it without dropping down the front hanger.

you can see the SOA perches are rolled way back on flints waggy he has pictured.
