As of tomorrow my project for the past few weeks will be rolling around in Maine. 73 Wagoneer Custom, someone painted over the woodgrain, but I have a kit coming for that. Added spoiler and roof rack, will be doing rockers this week too, but the frame is better than most of the others, even 15 years newer that I looked at up here. Hunting up some stock wheels and hubcaps and some whitewalls for it too. Trans am red (code 515) - one of my favorites, a/c, stock P code 4 barrel, quadra trac with low range, power rear window.

Like the color, going to put wide whitewalls on it?
Never seen rear bumper guards on one before

thin strip whites I think, I would like to find a decent trail tire with the white stripe...the jeep originally had sickles on the front too, I had never seen those either, they just clear the tailgate

thanks guys, I didnt see too many people from Maine on here. I wonder why...there is enough snow and trail here to make an FSJ work. Are they all rusted back into the ground? There are maybe 3 of them in all of Portland driving around, vs. 40 or 50 Range Rover classics, and those frames and tailgates rust worse! Hope to see you guys around

Nice Rig! I think 73 was a very classy year for the Wagoneer. First year AMC make over with new dash. The 4bbl is a square bore and much easier to adapt other carbs over the spread bore that came out in 74/75. And of course, the first year for QT. :fsj:

Thanks to the economy, my FSJ is for sale:( . But if it doesn't sell before snow flies it's going back into the garage for the winter! Hope to see your rig out there though for sure!!! Very nice find.:D Good luck with your rig!

There's a few around. Mines been under the knife for the last year. Got a mid 70s longbed J-truck 2 houses down from me. Got a buddy in Alfred with a chop top 79 cherk on 37s that has been down for a little while. Seen a couple more sitting in the woods close to my house as well.
