Its almost 4am as I'm headed home from work and you might be asking yourself why I'm typing this.
Im sitting on my front bumper of my broke down wagoneer about 50 yards away from the entrance to my neighborhood:)
My brother is towing me the rest of the way there, more to come tomorrow...
Bad Jeep.. Teach it a lesson and have it shipped to Taylor Mill, KY. We have ways of dealing with the naughty Jeeps out there.:sawzall:  ;)
I would like to see more pics of your Jeep. The Green ones give the Spinnaker Blue ones a run for their money.

Ya that forest green is pretty stunning. I'm also a big fan of the Colorado red. Hope you get back and running soon! I'm gonna guess ignition control module or alternator of course not knowing any symptoms it could be a million things.

Good... it's best to do that under the cover of darkness when all are sleeping and no one's to notice. ;)

I've seen this Jeep and it's beautiful, even for a Wagoneer. I'd love to own it........hint hint. I promise not to lift it too high.

Wow, the only time I break down is when the wires aren't hooked up in Setsuna properly.
Other than that, welcome to the club!

i call it "the walk of shame".
my walk was quite regular, but luckily it was just to the gas station. i really need a gauge that works. counting miles doesn't work that well.

Turned out it was just a blown hose
Got it towed to the entrance of our neighborhood last night around 4am and went back today and got it started right up no problem. Drove it for a quick test drive and everything is good to go.
On a different note; Im starting to debate whether my purchase of this vehicle was a wise choice. Im going back to school at the end of this month and will be driving around 50 miles a day (just for school) + dd duties for the next few years and Im not sure this is the right vehicle for the job. Any thoughts?

The same old thought. Pay the bank or pay the parts house...pick yer poison.

Going to school is one of the reasons I got out of FSJs for a while but I couldn't give up Jeeps so I went with a 91 xj 2 door with the 5 speed and skinny tires and averaged 22 miles to the gallon. Judging by you signature you have some XJ experience anyway. BTW I never got rid of my FSJs all together always had at least one sitting out by the garage to bring some class to the hood.

In all honesty, aside from poor mileage, I don't think these trucks make good daily drivers unless you have the time, $$$, and resources to keep up with them. If you do decide to sell keep me in mind.

Used to drive mine 120 miles a day MINIMUM every day. Never left me stranded once on a work day... Only once on a weekend (naturally with a car load of friends)... And this was BEFORE the PO stuff was fixed. I break it or get it stuck semi regularly wheeling but if you pay attention to it it will almost always get you home.
Got briefly thwarted by lack of gas a few times... Fix the gauge or learn to fill up if in doubt at all.
Or you could do like me and carry 5 gallons at all times :o
I say they make fine DDs...

Mark is right, make payments or buy parts. I hate payments. You will regret losing your Jeep. You will really regret paying big $$$ for a new eco-friendly road turd. Even if you do find one later on that is "just like" the one you sold, it won't be the same. ;)

If gas was $1 a gallon again I would DD an FSJ.
Now I don't know what your abilities are, if you have tools, and some mechanical ability then as a DD they are fine, most things can be fixed with common tools, and the odd tools can usually be rented, or a shop will do just that part reasonably - you just have to keep in mind that any truck 20+ years old is going to have problems, no matter how good a shape they are in, stuff just wears out.
The fuel cost is a BIG issue these days, I also would not have 1 as a DD if it was my ONLY vehicle, when gas was cheap and I drove 1 every day I always had a motorcycle for summer and the GF's car was usually around if I needed it.
