Awhile back I read a few post about troulbe shooting why the wagoneer rear window stops working. There were some good suggestions. I used my gate yesterday with no problems, now today I went to lower the window and it does not work. Niether with the inside switch or the key at the back. What do I look for? Fuse, bad wire?
Thanks in advance.

MY ground wire came loose. new ring ans put it under the closest screw. Fixed it right up. Most folks say check the safety switch. If a battery charger to the pos side of the motor does it, I'd check the switch, if it doesn't, look at the ground. Now if I could just figure out why the bottom channel catches on the inside sweep just before the fully closed pos. and tries to turn the tailgate inside out?

BUDDY, I remember a fix from jeep for your problem. you put small vacuum tubing into the upper weatherstrip so the window won't go up so far. simple but it works. good luck, john

Check the safety switch first. I have also had problems with the switch on the tailgate. It works fine there but won't allow the dash switch to work.

Check the wiring where its exposed going from the body into the tailgate. I think the switch they are thinking about is the one that tells the circuit the tailgate is up and closed, i.e. a button switch on the left side of the body that the tailgate hits when it comes up and closes. Can't remember at the moment if its one that a dowel pusheds or a protruding button. I'll have to go out and look now LOL
