Hello All! My name is mike i'm from festus Missouri(just south of st Louis). I just got a 1964 wagoneer! Well we call it the Chevyoneer! its a frankinstein to say the least. But i love it. it has a sbc 355 with half ton chevy axels on 37in military tires. bottom of the doors is right at 3ft. I dont know all about the truck i got it from a completely clueless guy and am learning about it as i fix it up. So far i've had to completely rewire the truck but now i got turn signals and lights! lol. I really wish i could find the guy who built the beast to find out exactly what done to it!

Welcome. That's a pretty interesting ride. Looks like it's ready for the next flood. Did you or the previous owner paint it in John Deere colors?

Consider it a blank canvas - you can recreate it the way you want.

I actually like the stacks, been toying with that idea myself actually. That's a heck of a ride.

Its not the prefered method of connecting high steer, but it works. (mostly)
Maybe the magic eight ball knows who built it. ;)

thanks for all the welcomes. for what i have learned it started its afterlife as a rock crawler( notice the axles have steal tubing welded around them) but the guy changed his mind. Went i got the truck it had no steering stabilizer or front shocks and passanger foor board cut up and seats not bolted in, Yes the drag link is scary and it took a 12pt turn to get it in my yard. the problem with it is that it would not stay strait when turning left, I think we have fixed it by welding in a support( just keep this in mind this THIS IS NOT A STREET TRUCK at this time maybe later lol) also if you notice the truck is leaning to the drivers side because of a bad d@mn leaf spring! but its my project and i love it lol. I'll take a pic of the headers they are pretty neat full custom bent but distracting, I'll take some new photos with the stuff i have fixed including my fully custom hand bend floor board lol hey FSJGirth do you off road or daily driver? I'm really looking for somewhere to ride other that St Joe or Negars mud runs

We are not offended at all. We love all things FSJ. You might find some brothers from a taller mother in the Off Road Tech forum.

No offense here, and ours is an original survivor, (I won't say bone stock because "life" has happened to ours along with way and it has some non-stock things on it). I think it's great that you've found a vehicle you like. It's already been modified - it's a bit of a mutant (I mean that in the best way - not an insult at all), so have fun with it.

I like original cars - it's just my personal taste, but I appreciate the builds and swaps, too. Everyone should be able to enjoy their car/truck as they see fit. Putting your Wag back into stock condition would be difficult and expensive - and kinda crazy, really - I mean, you have something that looks like it is going to be a BLAST to drive in the mud and have fun with...so have fun with it - and a lot of us with stock vehicles will be cheering you on.

It's all good.
