When I installed my distributor,I installed it with #1 being at about 5-O'clock position. This is where I seem to remember removing it from. But now I can't seem to get enough advance out of it.Where do you guys usually put #1 on the cap installed? Also I now have edelbrock intake and carb, summit cam, thorley headers, and TFI upgrade.Where do you guys think that I should set the timing?Stock spec says 12 degrees-any suggestions are appreciated. P.S.-check out my post in the general disscussion area under title Thorley customer service -thanks

If your vac advance is hitting... R&R the dizzy one tooth in the direction needed to give you more clearance for adjustment...it's been a while for me...this is what I did.
