Did any of the NT cherokees come with 4.09 gear ratios.

Very doubtful, that gear was used on manual trucks.

it wasan option on some wagoneers. I have seen a few with it. 69-72's are what I have seen with them.

I pulled a rear axle out of a '76 manual cherokee and it was 3.54 if I remember... same as my '78 auto waggy gears.

Fairly rare but at least in 76/77/78 anyway had 4.09's avail as options for NT axled rigs if w/manual trans equipped and sometimes std on some AT rigs but only w/258 motor. For V8 equipped rigs of the same era 4.09's were only optional on the WT model 17's and the trucks. More common in earlier pre-Chero years especially the early 60's but any front NT axle pre-74 won't be a D44.

Yeah 3.54's where very commonn for v8 rigs, auto and manual. Although 3.07's where base line option. I see more with 3.54's then 3.07's.

According to the 76 TSM, the 4.09 was standard in the J10 with the 258. Also with the right hand drive Cherokee and Wagoneer with 258. It was optional on Cherokee and Wagoneer with 258. The 3.07 was standard in Cherokee and Wagoneer with V8, and there was a 3.54 option. The J20 had 4.88 standard with the 258, and 4.09 option with 360. The J20 had 3.73 standard with 360 and 401.
