If I hook up a vac pump to the power valve nipple and it won't hold vacuum, then my power valve is bad correct?
Thanks

The easy way to check if a power valve is bad, is to pull the vacuum hose leading to it. If there is fuel in the hose, then its bad...

This may seem like a dumb quetion, but here goes....is the Jeep supposed to be running or off when you pull the hose?

Well if it were that easy, I'd have already done it. PO replaced engine and didn't hook up half of the eleventy billion vac lines on the thing. I was going to check it since it hasn't been hooked up for a long while.

Don't think it matters if its running or not... If there's gas in the hose then it will be there running or not.
Rusty84, That the funning thing about these engines... They run with the vacuum lines all messed up, but not good... But don't worry, mines all messed up too. smile.gif
