So I got this fairly nice headliner for free from CutterN55 and its got some "bubbles" where its starting to sag in the middle...how can I go about stickin these little spots back up? Also theres some stains on it, how can I clean it without hurting it?

In a pinch, I've resorted to cutting a small slit in the material and shooting 3M adhesive behind said bubble. Worked, but not the ideal solution.

I just strip the cover off and sanded down just enough to get a good looking texture and painted to match. Ease to take care of.

you can order headliner material from JC whitney

Scrape off all the old stuff completely and use 3M HEADLINER TYPE spray adhesive - you CANNOT use regular spray adhesive because it will soak into the foam padding and everytime you touch it with your fingers it will compress the foam and it will stick the foam together permanantly - ask me how i know:rolleyes:

Well the whole reason I got this headliner was so I didnt have to re-cover one. Guess its back to the drawing board.

Being that folks are making replacement glove boxes, door panels, kick panels, and rear panels out of plastic/whatever....I'm surprised no one has offered up a plastic head liner panel to put your own material on.

Head liner fabric can be had cheap at most craft shops. I found mine at Joanna fabrics. it has the foam attached and came in 4 colors I think. To remove the old fa
bric just give it a pull it should come easy. Then a wire brush will remove the leftover foam. As stated above use a good head liner spray glue I used 2 cans 3 coats on both the cb and the fabric. Spray half lay the fabric, spray the other side lay it and trim. Good luck

It really is an easy job. Quit being a lazy bum and just replace it already. :p
