Glad to be here . I'm Greg from Walkerwsville , Maryland . Not new to Jeeps(sig line). Just new to FSJ's . I just purchased a 78 Cherokee Chief the other day . Super happy to get it . It belonged to my Grandmother(the real reason I got into Jeeps anyway). She had this for a long while then parked it on top of a hill in the woods where it sat for years .She did not want to sell it either . When I found out it was for sale , I drove over an hour just to give her the $$ for it . Looking forward to getting it back on the road . There's good and bad with any older vehicle that was just setting around . Floor pans on both sides of the front need replaced . Tailgate bottom is completly rusted through . Few more spots to deal with . Over all , it's not too bad . It has the Quadratrac with D44's front and rear and a 360 under the hood . That's all I really know til I start to break it down . Any help will be appreciated . Parts , or places to find parts are also welcome . Am also a Member of the Maryland Jeep Club . In case anyone is near .

Welcome to the forum! And welcome from Maine! If you're in need of parts, BJ's Offroad has alot of stuff for FSJ's. Also look under the "vendor" forum here and also the "wanted/for sale" forum as well. Hope this helps. Alot of great info and help available on this site!

Welcome to the madness that is IFSJA!
We're kindred spirits of sorts. I got the Jeep bug cruising around Maryland with my grandparents.
They started me early in the 60s with a CJ-2-3-5 and moved on to a Wag in the 70s to tow a camper to Tom's Cove campground in Chincoteague.
Good times!
