Jeep mechanic

Are there any good jeep shops in the PDX/Salem area? I just bought a "79 Cherokee and it's going to need a bunch of work.

I'd like to bring it to someone familiar with these vehicles to give it a good once over and formulate a plan of attack to get this beast back into a decent state.

DUnno about people specializing in Jeeps, but when I lived in Gresham (a bit out of your way I'd think) I only took mine to Mel-Ken motors. They're a NAPA shop but they've been in that spot since '84 and have a solid reputation from what I've heard.

I got lucky; when I moved to Bend, one of the more reputable shops here is run by a friend from church, and THAT is a NAPA shop. Guess that major work will be getting a warranty.
