Just had a couple questions on your interior panels. Is the rubber diamond plate sturdy enough on it's own or will it require additional backing? Are the rear cargo panels for a Grand 1 piece on both sides and do they have speaker holes already cut? Also do you have any pictures of the cargo panels installed? Are you making cargo area mats yet? As you can guess I'm redoing my cargo area and like the looks of the diamond plate.Do you ship these in a flat container or do they get rolled up?

The rubber DP would work on a door or tailgate, but
not as a cargo panel with out backing.

The passenger side cargo panels can be made 1 or 2 piece.
Your choice

With or without speaker holes

Cargo mats yet, No

I have been busy making center console.

I FINALLY got some time to install my panels today. They look great first of all! I used some stainless sheet metal screws to mount them (3/4" long I do believe) and I did got a little overkill but whatever. I also have the cargo panels but going to have to save that for another day.

Of course some pictures!!

These panels look fantastic! My panels on my '87 GW are like everyone elses, molded and flimsy. The underlaying cardboard always gets damp and therefore absorbs moisture, ergo the flimsy panels. Mine even had the vapor barriers still on the doors.

Has anyone used these black ABS plastic panels and wrapped them in the factory vinyl/carpet so they look just like the original panels? Basically...you would be replacing the inside cardboard with these ABS panels and eliminating the molded/warped stock stuff.

Yes, I can make all the panels for a two door.
What material did you want?

I would like factory similar panels so I can reuse the original Levi/vinyl and rewrap them, as my panels are warped.

79 2dr Cherokee, all panels.

I can make the later versions out of aluminum diamond plate.
Then send them off to Greg taylor for powder coating.

LOL....:D I knew that. How much for the aluminum ones for all four... And for a comparison, if they come black, the ABS ones as a set of four. Do they have the front speaker cutouts? I would need that.

Yes on the speaker holes

I have to make the window power switch hole smaller(tighter) in the panels
if you don't cover them, because the switch cover will pull though.

If I missed it somewhere I'm sorry, do you make anything for the J-truck cab corner area? I'm in the process of making something out of plywood to mount 4x10 speakers there, the plywood does not flex to fit as well as I want it to, the ABS might work well.

I don't make anything for the cab corner, but I make curved boat seats.
So I should be able to make something for you.

Can you send me a pattern or template?

I ended up making something out of 1/4" plywood, and covered it with a piece of old seat cover. It's flat, but may not be as easy as it looks to make the panel.

So I've been trying to figure out some way to replace my rear cargo panels with something more durable. Eventually the all the rear cargo carpet will be removed and line-x'ed. This ABS might be exactly what I'm looking for. How do the cargo panels attach? Could they be line-x'd also and still be removable? This would be perfect if it works.

You can use push pins, christmas trees, old school Auveco 807 spring clip, or screws to attach the panels

Is line-X like Dyna mat sound deadening? Then yes

Go to the first page of this thread for photos
